Woodland Wellbeing Day Retreat with Emma Reed Turrell & Alice Crowe Friday 17th July 2026 10am-4pm

£395.00

A day of fire, clay, conversation and restoration in ancient Hampshire woodland.

Set beneath the trees in a secluded woodland near Clanfield, this is not simply a pottery workshop, but a carefully held wellbeing experience designed to slow you down and bring you back into contact with yourself.

Together, we will spend the day immersed in nature, learning the ancient and unpredictable art of raku firing. You will glaze and fire your own pots over open flames, watching the transformation unfold in real time as smoke, heat, earth and air leave their mark on the clay.

Alongside the pottery process, psychotherapist Emma Reed Turrell will gently guide reflective conversations and therapeutic exercises inspired by the themes of transformation, resilience, change and letting go. There will be space to pause, share, reconnect and notice what emerges when we step away from the noise of ordinary life.

The day has been intentionally designed to feel grounding, sensory and restorative. Fire pits burning. Hands in clay. Beautiful seasonal food cooked over flame. Cinnamon buns and coffee in handmade cups carved from the woodland itself. Time to think. Time to breathe. Time to simply be.

Numbers are kept intentionally small to create an intimate and supportive atmosphere.

You will leave with 2–3 raku-fired pots of your own, alongside something less tangible but equally lasting: the feeling of having spent a day properly connected, to nature, to creativity, and perhaps to parts of yourself that daily life too easily pulls us away from.

No previous pottery experience is needed. Come alone, bring a friend, or make new ones around the fire.
